Food Safety and Quality Assurance
Australia is globally recognised for its rigorous food safety and quality standards—and SEABOARD upholds these standards across all its international operations. Our dedicated in-house shipping and export documentation teams work in close coordination with the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS), as well as relevant regulatory authorities in importing countries, to ensure full compliance with international food safety requirements.
SEABOARD also collaborates with overseas import and health authorities to meet specific local standards. For example, offal exported to the European Union is certified to be sourced exclusively from animals entirely free of hormonal growth promotions. All products are processed under strict hygiene protocols. In Australia, this includes packaging and freezing within two hours of slaughter, in line with the stringent requirements set by national health and quarantine authorities.
Our commitment to quality assurance ensures that every shipment meets the highest standards for safety, traceability, and regulatory compliance.
SEABOARD is a committed exporter to Muslim markets, proudly supplying Halal Certified meat products that fully comply with Islamic dietary laws. Australia is globally recognised as a leader in Halal meat production, underpinned by its Government Supervised Muslim Slaughter System (AGSMS). This system ensures that all Halal meat is processed according to the strictest Islamic principles, under government oversight.
The AGSMS is supported by authorised Islamic organisations licensed by the Australian Quarantine and Inspection Service (AQIS) to supervise, inspect, and certify Halal production across the country. All slaughter is performed by registered Muslim slaughter men, adhering to traditional rites.
